JAMES & CLAIRRE // White Rocks, Portrush
When a babe from Cali meets a sweetheart guy from NI on her 21st birthday in Las Vegas this is how it looks.
From the first point of contact I knew that this shoot was going to be a good one. I was stoked not only because it was the first shoot of the year but, also because it was the first shoot after the rebrand!
The three of us decided to head to the beautiful location of the White Rocks beach on an easy Sunday morning, as the waves lightly crashed against the sand the soft winter sun smiled on.
As I mentioned; Clairre and James met in Las Vegas and instantly connected, staying up to all hours of the night to climb the obstacle of time difference. After 5 weeks, James had decided to visit his beauty in California where he met Clairre's parents. The love between them blossomed as they chatted, sharing dreams and talking about how they could make this special thing they had to work. After a time of long distance Clairre decided to complete her Masters Degree in little NI.
The pair were then whisked off to Santorini were James and Clairre's dad had been scheming. With the jewellers contacted and the perfect ring designed James asked his girl to be his bride!
The weekend of this shoot was the last weekend they had together before Clairre left to go home and in 6 months James plans to follow- where they will get married and live in the summer sun of California. I felt so blessed that I got to capture the last moments they had together. My heart and mind was focused on capturing the most authentic moments between them so that they could look through the images and remember all of the feelings and joy they have when they are together.
The laughter throughout the morning was infectious. Little knowing glances between Clairre and James; their hearts knew their love would last forever.
Clairre was the type of person who lit up a room when she entered. Her smile draws people in and her eyes tell a story of different countries traveled and sought after the adventure that awaited. James was more of a self-confessed introvert but, as I watched the two interact I could see that as the sun complemented the sea- they did the same for each other. In his arms she felt safe, and he became more of a man with every whispered positive affirmation that he gave.
After some time spent at the beach we mixed it up a little, finding a pathway overlooking the water- covered in a sea of beautiful burnt oranges and lively greens. NI handing us the perfect stage and backdrop for Clairre to take back and show off her her friends (Good job God!).
I was so totally blessed from spending time with these two perfect-for-each-other couple. I can't wait to see what God has in store for them in the future- I know it will be amazing!
